A picturesque hotel with seven en-suite letting rooms set back from the main road. The large main bar has a number of seating areas, and the layout has a comfortable and cosy feel to it. A large fireplace adds character to the pub. Locally sourced beers and food are offered. Harvey's Sussex Best is the kept permanently while there are three other local beers available. The Charcoal Kitchen operates 12-2.30 and 5-9 on Wednesday to Friday, Sat 12-9 and Sunday 12-4, has its own bar and provides pizzas and burgers. A separate fine dining restaurant is to the left. There is a very popular roast on Sundays.
