Owned by the same family for many years this is a popular and unspoilt free house retaining the atmosphere of a country pub from bygone days. The bar is hung with hops and warmed by two log fires and a stove. The large orchard garden catches the evening sun. Excellent snacks and full meals are always available, and the guest beer changes regularly. Westons perry and local Double Vision cider are stocked. Well-behaved children and dogs are welcome. It is a short walk from the Cross-at-Hand (No.5) bus stop on the A229.
